Carla McMenamy, MPT, CHT
Physical Therapist

Carla is a graduate of UMDNJ-SHRP and Rutgers Camden where she received her Master’s in Physical Therapy. She specializes in running and performs gait analysis on athletes and recreational runners to improve their running forms. Carla has 7 years’ experience in outpatient orthopedics that includes adults, adolescents, and geriatrics therapy and treatment. Carla is also a Certified Hand Therapist and has a depth of knowledge of hand and upper extremity rehabilitation.

Matt Smelas, PT, OCS, CSCS, DPT
Director of Physical Therapy

Matt has been practicing physical therapy since 1996. He holds an undergraduate degree from Villanova University. He is a graduate of the UMDNJ/Kean Physical Therapy Program and received his Doctorate of Physical therapy at the University of St. Augustine in 2012. He spent 6 years working at the Kessler Institute and gained experience working with a wide variety of patient diagnoses, including orthopedic, spinal cord, stroke, amputee, and multi-trauma. Additionally, Matt holds the OCS certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists and achieved his Vestibular Therapy Certification. This is the destination for a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist. He also holds the CSCS certification. This is the certified strength and conditioning specialist from the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association). He enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids in his leisure.

Amy is a licensed physical therapist with 30 years of physical therapy experience that includes orthopedics specialization. She embodies the true meaning of treating patients one-on-one as she has deep roots in the Navesink Area and a strong and loyal patient following because of her knowledge, skill sets, and personality.
